Ras Abu Soma
Ras Abu Soma is located near the southeast tip of a large outcrop area of coastline, known as Ras Abu Soma, off Soma Bay. This dive site is located about 45 minutes from Safaga. Current (rarely strong) normally run from north to south. If you make a drift dive, you can head in a southerly direction with the reef on your right shoulder. About 35m deep, there is a small cave occupied by a school of glass fish. The entrance is decorated by a bunch of giant sea fans with its swarm of colorful swallowtail seaperch. 15 meters higher, there is a sandy plateau littered with hard coral formations.
