Thirty minutes from the coast of Safaga, three chains of connected ergs come together to form an inverted Y-shape. The two southern  erg chains are the best. The eastern one has a narrow canyon at 11m and a tunnel at 9m which offers a perfect home for glassfish and hatchetfish. Look inside to see the light show but don’t go through. It is lined with beautiful soft corals which can be knocked off by a careless fin or even by your bubbles.

On the sandy bottom at a depth of 12-15 meter, you can also discover bluespotted stingrays, clown fish, anemones, butterfly fish, puffer fish, crocodile fish, scorpion fish…
